They had a shared vision to bring the concepts of property decision-making, property planning and property education to their listeners in a unique way, and in April 2019 they launched their first set of episodes as The Property Planner, Buyer and Professor.

With each bringing a wealth of knowledge from their respective roles and skillsets, they quickly found their groove together in the studio and proudly delivered 200 episodes, spanning COVID lockdowns, two Federal elections, legislative changes and other roller-coaster rides.

The feedback has been particularly special over this time and has given rise to Listener Question segments and some fun engagement with plenty of wonderful personalities in the background.

In March 2023 Pete decided to leave the show to enjoy is semi-retirement. Pete will be missed by the listeners but he’s never too far away, and may just reappear as a special guest on the show one day.

The new name and rebranding took place when Pete resigned from the show. Aside from the title being too long for comfort with the addition of “quantity surveyor”, Cate and Dave felt it was time to embrace The Property Trio, an apt name for three very passionate professionals who have years more exciting property content to share with their loyal listener. 

Welcoming Mike Mortlock into the fold was an easy decision. Mike brings incredible industry knowledge and dedication, and his penchant for data enables him to be a perfect complement to the show.

The show now incorporates regular case studies, listener question segments, monthly market updates as new data arrives, and gripping new episodes designed to aid homebuyers and investors on their property journey.
